Fayetteville Street

Visit Raleigh calls Fayetteville Street downtown's central thoroughfare. It was a pedestrian mall in the 1970s and reopened to traffic in 2006. Restaurants, bars, galleries and the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts line the street, which is often closed for festivals.
